Disassembly of each indoor unit, deep cleaning of the blower wheel, pressurized rinse of the indoor coil, cleaning of the drain pan and condensate line, cleaning of the outdoor coil, and a full system test in both heat and cool modes. Most cleanings take 60 to 90 minutes per indoor unit.

You can wash the filters and wipe the front cover. You should not attempt the deep clean. Doing it right requires partial disassembly, a bib kit to contain pressurized rinse water, and the right cleaning chemistry to avoid coil damage. Using the wrong chemicals can void your warranty.

Two reasons. In summer, mini-splits run in cooling mode and produce condensation on the coil. In winter, they run in heating mode and dry out, but mold spores in the system have already taken hold. Vermont's swing between humid summers and long winters makes this cycle worse than in drier climates. Annual cleaning is the only durable fix.

Yes. Our twice-yearly maintenance plan is $279 for a single-unit home or $379 to $479 for two to four indoor units. The plan includes two visits per year (every six months): a full cleaning in spring and a filter and drain check in fall, with priority scheduling.
