Why does my Fujitsu mini-split show communication errors in winter?
Fujitsu communication errors in winter usually trace to the indoor-outdoor cable junction, often where condensate has frozen against the wire nuts or where rodents have nibbled exposed insulation. We inspect the line set, dry the junction, and confirm signal continuity.
Do Fujitsu Halcyon units need different cleaning than other mini-splits?
Halcyon indoor units have a tighter blower assembly than Mitsubishi, so cleaning takes a bit longer but follows the same disassemble-and-deep-clean approach. Coil and drain pan access is good once the front cover is off.
Will cleaning fix a Fujitsu coil sensor fault code?
Sometimes. A dirty or biofilm-coated coil sensor can read inaccurately and trigger false fault codes. If cleaning the sensor and coil clears the fault, we are done. If the sensor itself has drifted, replacement is needed and we will tell you up front.
